School Books for Sapele

Boy reading bookLast year, the community helped raise enough money to purchase a textbook for each of the 1,000 students at Ethiopia school. Please join us again this year to support the education of these children.

At the Ethiope School in Sapele, Nigeria, there is no money to buy textbooks. It is up to individual families to bear this cost – and many simply cannot afford to purchase the needed books. So, their children cannot attend school – and the cycle of poverty continues.

You can donate to help purchase “reader” books for each of the 1,000 children at Ethiope School, supplying them with the books they need to further their education – and bringing hope to their future.

To donate, make checks payable to Mission Africa and mail to:

Water Pump for Ethiope Primary School

Children at water pumpRight now, we are working on provide water to the elementary school in Amukpe. Currently, 1,000 children attend the school with no water.

LatrineLatrines for Ethiope Primary School

Our next endeavor will be to install latrines at the school. Currently, the 1,000 students at the school have no facilities, causing them to use the nearby field...certainly unsanitary conditions. Many older girls are kept from going to school because it is inappropriate for young ladies to not have private facilities to use.
